The Splendor Of Hell :
When it comes to that fetish-ware-meets-hardcore thing, Brit and Euro smut-meisters have it all over their American counterparts. A great example of that was director Kovi’s high-end wonderfully titled The Splendor Of Hell from 2001, a star vehicle for beautiful Monique Covet, whose slightly hard exotic blonde looks make her the damn-near perfect fetish fantasy figure. The film follows Monique Covet through four scenarios starting in a cold house where Monique and two female companions encounter two guys among the hanging meat. Then a red leather clad and whip wielding Monique plays a lion tamer in a studio with cages and stuffed animals. In a workshop amidst the grime and flames we find two men and Monique with a pair of female friends. Finally a shallow artificial lake, in the setting for a kinky finale. All four of Hell’s scenes are highly stylized (set in a flame-erupting factory and a water dungeon, among other imaginative locales), dream-like (think not quite real time motion and faint, echo-laden moans and groans) group gropes with uniformly gorgeous women garbed in expensive, top-flight kink couture. Enhanced by Kovi’s gorgeous camerawork, the raunch-laden sex – sucking, fucking, anals, double penetrations and creamy facials – is frequently hot as hell. For those viewers whose porn ideal is breathtaking rubber-clad bitches doing the explicit nasty, it doesn’t get much better than this!
